John Eggleston, partner and global CTO at Pantheon Ventures, was named Technology Professional of the Year at The Drawdown Awards 2023.

The judges were hugely impressed by how much John Eggleston has achieved during his time at Pantheon and highlighted how he is such a valued member of the wider private equity tech community.

Eggleston joined Pantheon as partner and chief technology officer in 2019, and has been instrumental in driving the transformation of the firm’s technology and data environments.

During the judging period, he led on the implementation of a new investor CRM and parallel introduction of PowerBI dashboards, the creation of a new investor onboarding solution leveraging Pagasystem’s platform, and streamlined the operations team’s data capture process through the implementation of robotic process automation.

He also established a dedicated infosec team, which has driven the adoption by Pantheon of a centralised cloud-based AI correlation engine, and he created a new function dedicated to data governance to improve company-wide data management.

Outside of Pantheon, Eggleston is a founding investor in KALYP Technologies and passionate advocate of blockchain’s potential to revolutionise post-trade settlement. He is also a mentor at tech accelerator Level39, and has been recognised as a fellow of the Institute of Directors, Institute of Leadership and Management, and the Chartered Institute for IT.
