Travers Smith names Cawood as PE head

by Alice Murray 25 January 2023

Travers Smith has appointed Lucie Cawood as head of the firm's private equity and financial sponsors group. She will be assisted by Will Yates as deputy.

The appointment comes after the departure of several lawyers from Travers Smith. Most recently, Stephanie Biggs joined Simpson Thacher and Bartlett as partner, based in the London office, to co-lead the firm’s European and financial services regulatory team.

Earlier this month, Ian Shawyer left Travers to join Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.
