Travers Smith’s senior partner to step down

Travers Smith’s Kathleen Russ will step down from her role as senior partner, effective 30 June 2023, following a leave of absence for exceptional family reasons.

She came to the firm in 2007 as a partner and head of the tax department, which she led for 10 years. Her practice focuses on private equity transactions, where she acts for both GPs and LPs.

Russ was re-elected for a second term as senior partner in November 2022 and until her step down will continue to serve in a part-time, joint capacity together with Siân Keall, partner in the firm’s employment practice.
