Trinity Hunt appoints CFO
Dallas-based private equity firm Trinity Hunt Partners has named a new CFO.
The US investor promoted Cheryl Small to the role 13 years after joining. She previously served as vice president in finance and administration.
Small started her career as a controller at Unity Hunt, spending more than 18 years at the firm before becoming director of internal control and compliance at IESI, a non-hazardous waste management company.
Peter Stein, managing partner at Trinity, said, “Cheryl’s dedication to the firm and its success have made her an invaluable member of our Trinity Hunt family. With her skills in financial reporting and fund accounting, as well as her expertise in tax, budgeting and planning, Cheryl will enable our firm to continue to be successful as we move into our fifth fund.”
Alongside Small’s appointment, the firm also promoted John Oakes to senior associate. Before joining Trinity, he worked in Credit Suisse’s investment banking division.
The mid-market buyout firm currently has $715m under management, and focuses on building founder and family-owned growth businesses. It is led by Dan Dross and Peter Stein.
