Valutico launches ESG valuation platform
Valutico has launched an ESG valuation tool, named ValutECO, following a grant from Vienna Business Agency that it received in 2021, when it began exploring ESG valuations.
ValutECO is currently in its trial phase and the firm welcomes feedback from users.
The tool aims to assist fund managers with valuations based on ESG criteria, by valuing companies on their environmental impact. It works by using an ESG score in the ‘cost of capital’ section of the discounted cashflow valuation method, to help incorporate ESG considerations.
Users are able to pinpoint areas for improvement, from reducing greenhouse gas emissions to monitoring and decreasing water usage.
CEO at Valutico, Paul Resch, commented: “We're grateful for the grant provided by Vienna Business Agency that made this possible. We're looking forward to receiving feedback from financial professionals on how this innovative tool can enable sustainable growth and we're excited about what lies ahead."
The launch follows the closing of Valutico’s first financing round at the beginning of 2023, securing investments from PUSH Ventures, aws Gründerfonds and Erste Group.
Prior to that, it launched a valuation solution for VC firms in August 2022.
