Valutico launches VC valuation solution

by Matthias Plötz 22 August 2022

Fintech firm Valutico announced the launch of its in-platform feature, aimed at increasing accuracy of mid-to-late stage start-up valuations for VC firms.

By using data already incorporated in its platform, Valutico hopes to combat start-up companies’ lack of financial history with a method focused on the VC firm’s desired rate of return as an alternative to discounted cash flow.

Instead, the company aims to assess start-ups on metrics such as EV/Sales, EV/EBITDA, EV/EBIT, and P/E multiples.

“We’re particularly happy that this represents a significant increase in our offering for Venture Capital and Corporate Finance firms across the 70 countries Valutico is already being used in,” said CEO, Paul Resch. “With all the calculations and relevant data in one place, the VC method will help make these types of mid- and late-stage start-up valuations much easier.”
