Vorwerk Ventures has appointed Emanuel Wollersheim as the firm’s head of finance, based in Berlin.

For Wollersheim, the move comes after two years as VP of finance at EarlyBird Venture Capital. Prior to his time at the VC firm, he worked almost five years at EY where he was most recently assistant manager, based in Zurich. He joined EY as assistant auditor in 2016.

In his new role, Wollersheim will be responsible for leading the finance function for Vorwerk’s funds. According to the firm, the remit spans accounting, investment controlling and tax.

In a statement, Vorwerk praised Wollersheim’s “unparalleled operational background” and said it is looking to further professionalise its corporate functions.
