WATCH: Cybersecurity, and ESG concern

While this topic isn’t entirely new (The Drawdown first explored this idea back in 2017), what makes it so interesting today is that both cybersecurity and ESG have been thrown into sharp focus thanks to the events of the past 12 months.

Cybersecurity is of course a matter of good governance, as well as reputation and risk management - putting it at the heart of ESG practices. However, cybersecurity has typically been viewed as an IT concern - it’s hardly the first thing that springs to mind when thinking about ESG matters.

During this webinar session the panel considered the ESG factors of good cybersecurity, looking at regulation and risk management. The discussion also thought about the LP and portfolio company points of view, and finally the how of cybersecurity as an ESG concern: via people, process and systems.
