KKR’s Lewin named CFO as Janetschek steps down

by Krystal Scanlon 5 December 2019

KKR has announced its CFO succession plan, with Robert Lewin taking over the role from William Janetshek.

Lewin makes for an interesting choice as the firm’s new CFO, who begins the role in January 2020, given his varied career at the bulge-bracket manager. Since joining KKR in 2004, he has worked across a number of departments, with previous roles in investing, helping to launch the firm’s Asia business, co-leading the firm’s credit and capital markets businesses as well as serving as treasurer and head of corporate development with oversight of KKR’s balance sheet.
