Private equity hits 10-year IRR bonanza
Average net IRRs scored by global private equity managers surpassed 10% for the tenth year running in 2016, according to figures published by Preqin.
The data, reported by public pension funds, show that GPs produced an average IRR of 11.4% over the five-year period between 2012 and 2016. The figure places the industry ahead of real estate funds (11.3% average IRR), listed equity (9.1%)
