London-headquartered buyout house Synova Capital has formally launched operations in the US this week to back portfolio companies looking to expand in the country.
The New York office, Synova’s first to date outside the UK, will be headed up by newly-hired investment manager Thomas Usher and senior adviser Steve Butterworth.
Usher’s appointment adds another rung to a technology-focused private equity career.
