Maguar appoints senior fund controller

Maguar, a Munich-based midmarket PE firm, has appointed Joachim Deselaers as senior fund controller.

Deselaers joins from DPE Deutsche Private Equity, where he spent the last two and a half years. His time at the GP was focused on accounting-related and regulatory matters.

Prior to his time at the GP, he spent six years at Deloitte, most recently in the role of manager for FSI audit and assurance in investment management.

Additionally, the firm has added Felix Brugger to its investment team. Brugger joined from Boston Consulting Group, where he spent the last three years.


At the beginning of 2023, the firm brought onboard its CFO, Jörg Helten.
