SBTi publishes guidance to combat climate change

by Krystal Scanlon 12 November 2021

Science Based Target initiative (SBTi) has published tailored guidance for private equity firms to align their strategies with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

The guidance aims to define and promote best practice in science-based setting, in order for PE firms to align their portfolios and operations to well below 2°C and 1.5°C climate scenarios. It identifies challenges PE firms commonly face to develop and achieve targets, and provides recommendations to overcome these barriers, taking regional differences into consideration.
