TDA 2022 Recruitment: Finance & Operations winner: PER

by Krystal Scanlon 25 August 2022

PER’s contribution to the industry won the judges’ vote. They unanimously agreed the firm’s UK Private Markets Finance & Operations Compensation Report is super helpful for the entire industry.

“Our finger on the pulse in respect of compensation and our insight into carried interest norms has been particularly important over the past year as pay levels have risen and retention has been as crucial as recruitment,” says Dean Terry (head of HR & legal) and Harry Gwynne (head of finance & tax) at PER.

PER’s achieved an impressive 428 placements across 22 countries and all functions in the last 18 months. Within that, more than 100 placements in operational roles. This success put the firm ahead of its peers when it comes to private equity recruitment.

“Our teams focus solely on private markets making them experts in the special requirements required for these important operational roles,” Terry and Gwynne add. “Our knowledge of the sector enables us to promote roles effectively to a tight candidate pool in a candidate-led market.”

This was further demonstrated by client testimonials, both of which  described PER as being proactive, and their recruitment process as “a smooth experience”.

“We have hundreds of conversations with people in the sector every week, which means we are on top of both market trends and best practices in recruitment,” Terry and Gwynne explain. “We are able to share our findings with the industry, for example, diversity, equity and inclusion is at the forefront of every conversation with our client.” With industry advocates like these, it’s no wonder PER came top of the judges list, and became this year’s Recruitment: Finance & Operations award winner.
