2020 in review: Regulatory complexity

2020 has undoubtedly been a transformative year, and looking at the regulatory landscape for private equity the last 12 months has witnessed some major developments.

The most notable regulatory transformation has been around AIFMD. Since its 2017 review, alternative investment fund managers have been waiting for greater harmonisation as well as clarifications around items such as pre-marketing and reverse solicitation.
