INDOS secures Irish depositary licence

by Krystal Scanlon 13 October 2021

INDOS Financial has secured a licence from the Central Bank of Ireland to provide depositary services to private equity, real estate and other alternative investment funds.

“We established operations in Co. Wexford, Ireland in 2014 and therefore extending our regulatory permissions to act for Irish alternative investment funds was a natural next step,” said Bill Prew, CEO of INDOS.

JTC acquired INDOS in February for £12.5m and Dublin-based boutique asset manager Ballybunion Capital in September.

INDOS was advised by the Irish office of Simmons & Simmons for the licencing and approval process with the Central Bank of Ireland.

Founded in 2012, INDOS provides depository, ESG and anti-money laundering (AML) oversight services to the alternative funds sector.
