LDC appoints ESG director

by Krystal Scanlon 16 June 2022

LDC has appointed Alex Bexon as ESG director, based in London.

He joins from Deloitte, where he spent the last 10 years in the firm’s ESG advisory practice, most recently as senior manager. During his time at the firm, he helped businesses to develop ESG strategies as well as understand, track and communicate their performance to stakeholders.

In his new role at LDC, Bexon will help LDC to achieve its own ESG commitments in-house. These include ensuring LDC’s operations are net zero by 2030, proactively addressing diversity & inclusion as well as continuing to support the principles of good corporate governance.

He will also work across LDC’s national portfolio, supporting the firm’s ongoing ESG programme, which is embedded throughout the lifecycle of its partnerships from initial investment through to exit.

“We have been supporting the growth of the UK mid-market since our formation in 1981, and our parent company Lloyds Banking Group has supported businesses and individuals for more than 320 years,” commented Toby Rougier, CEO of LDC. “As the UK’s most active investor in medium-sized businesses, we have the ability to positively influence the ESG contributions of the businesses we support.”
