Sounds of the Summit… ODD one out

by Alice Murray 18 August 2023

The importance of operational due diligence (ODD) when fundraising wasn’t lost on our speakers at The Drawdown’s recent Operational Leaders’ Summit this summer. Labelled as a fundamental process to reassure LPs of a GP’s strong governance, ability to protect capital and data, and to provide details of clearly defined policies and processes, ODD is about sharing the manager's professionalism and showcasing the firm’s culture.

However, despite the fundamental nature of the exercise, LPs today are more demanding than ever when it comes to information requests, and with that, the ODD process can often result in a deluge of DDQs.
