Apex signs strategic partnership with Flow
Apex Group has signed a strategic partnership with Flow, a software provider for fund operators in private markets.
The partnership will see Apex clients gain access to Flow’s investor lifecycle management platform, which handles processes from data rooms through to distributions. The platform’s core offerings include investor onboarding, investor portal, data room, capital call management and investor reporting.
The partnership aligns with recent strategic activity which has seen it expand and enhance its service and product offering, as it aims to provide clients with a single-source solution for all fund administration needs.
“Our partnership with Flow unlocks significant efficiencies for both companies that ultimately benefit the end investor and the venture capital markets overall,” says Georges Archibald, chief innovation officer and regional managing director, Americas at Apex Group.
In May 2023, Apex relaunched its fundraising services as Apex Invest, adding a series of events to its existing offering. This move followed a spree of acquisitions and strategic announcements by the firm earlier in the year.
Apex acquired a number of MJ Hudson businesses in April 2023, including its ESG solutions, ManCo, quantitative services, investment advisory, custodian bank benchmarking, Channel Islands fiduciary and fund administration, and investor relations and marketing solutions.
In March 2023, it acquired ManCo services and consultancy firm Efficient Group, while in February it launched an ESG database and benchmarking tool, and in January it acquired Bank of America’s Irish fund depository services, Luxembourg’s ALFI Partners, and Pacific Fund Systems, as well as launching a new fund insurance product and new capital raising services.
